Collection Notice
We, International Eucharistic Congress Sydney Limited ACN 685 542 269, 54th International Eucharistic Congress (IEC2028) manager, collect your personal information (including your name, phone number and address), demographic information (such as age and occupation), financial information (such as credit card details), identification information (such as your driver's licence), information about dietary requirements or special needs, and in taking photographs and videos of IEC2028 so that we can contact you and provide you with services and information in relation to IEC2028 and the Catholic Church generally.
We will also use the contact details you have provided us to send you marketing information and materials related to our activities, functions and initiatives, including, where you have opted in, via email or other digital communications.
We generally collect personal information directly from you via our website, or when you otherwise contact and correspond with us (e.g. over the phone, via email or in person). Where it is not practicable to collect personal information from you, we may also collect personal information from publicly available sources of information, and, where you have provided your consent (or your parent or guardian has consented if you are under 18 years of age), from third parties.
If you do not provide us with the personal information we have requested, we may not be able to provide you with services or information.
We may disclose your personal information:
- to the Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney and the local organising committee of IEC2028 to enable your participation in and our management of IEC2028;
- to our related entities, contractors providing services to us and to other third party service providers used in relation to IEC2028; and
- where we are required or authorised by Australian law to do so.
In addition to the above, you acknowledge that your personal information, as collected by IEC2028 (a CAS entity) may be disclosed to the CAS, to communicate with you in relation to CAS and Catholic Church events, activities and issues.
